FAQ

Q: Do you shoot film or digital?  What equipment do you use?
A: I use high-end digital equipment that allows me to shoot as many pictures as I like and gives you the choice of black and white or color with every image without compromising quality.  And best of all, the original files can be duplicated so in the sad even t that a copy is destroyed, you have not lost the pictures forever.

Q: How many pictures do you usually take at a wedding?
A: I’ll take anywhere from 300 to 1000 pictures depending on the length of your wedding, the number of guests and several other factors.

Q: Do you do Engagement photos as well?
A:  Yes, I actually prefer doing an engagement session with the couple before the wedding.  Not only does this give you photos to include in invitations and to display at the wedding, but also it gives me a chance to get to know you better.

Q: Do we get the negatives?
A:  Yes, the digital, high-resolution files on DVD are included in the creation fee with a signed statement allowing you to reproduce the images as you wish.  You can make prints, send in e-mails or archive on your own computer.

Q: Why do you charge so much for a 5x7 when I can make prints at Costco for 79 cents?
A:  Most stores offer cheap printing services which is a great option for everyone.  They often include automatic color correction and cropping tools.  Though, they sell you prints like they sell you toothpaste.  When preparing a print order, I take into consideration the perfect crop, and image adjustments to be sure that the print is as dynamic as possible.  Each print includes full retouching color correction and any color adjustments such as black and white or sepia toning.  I make sure that any distracting elements like exit signs or phone lines are removed if possible.  I treat every image as a work of art and the difference is worth the difference.

Q:  Can you do that cool black and white with colored in flowers effect?
A:  Yes, as well as Sepia effects (nostalgic brown and white instead of black and white.) And I don’t charge for it either.  Other photographers will charge whatever people are willing to pay for options like this.  I want to make sure that you get exactly what you want in every image without having to worry about paying extra for it.

Q:  Do you take traditional photos as well?
A: There is a high demand for photojournalism use at weddings today.  The images are beautiful, natural and exactly what you want.  Of course there’s the family too.  And for this I include posed photos of the family and important guests as well.  I take 30-45 minutes to get those necessary shots of loved ones to include in your family history.  These photos can be done at the ceremony location or a secondary location such as a park.

Q:  I love your work!  What now?
A: If you would like to schedule a meeting to discuss your wedding, please contact me at any time.  In order to reserve your wedding date, I require a 50% deposit at the time you sign the contract.  I’m happy to make any recommendations throughout your planning process and if you have any additional question, let me know.
I look forward to learning more about you.
